The Tenth Online NGFP Course will launch on April 30th, 2012.
Prof. Steven M. Cohen, Research Professor of Jewish Social Policy at HUC-JIR, and Director of the Berman Jewish Policy Archive at NYU Wagner, will study and discuss with us Jewish Engagement Today: Changes, Challenges, and Opportunities.

Throughout Jewish history, Jewish identities are constantly undergoing change. In modern Western societies, the specific process of this change is somewhat different as Jews have become an accepted part of diverse societies and adopters of diverse identities. Hence, the challenges to both individuals and the Jewish community are quite different today than they were even thirty years ago.

In this short course Professor Cohen shares with us some insights he has acquired in his many years of research on this topic. These insights, we hope, will prove useful in a discussion on the specific challenges and opportunities we face as part of the Nahum Goldmann program and the larger Jewish community.
